The Hearing Company conducts Australia-wide audiometric booth assessments for compliance with Australian Standards and legislation.
Western Australian services
WorkCover WA legislative hearing tests in Western Australia must be completed in approved testing environments, which usually means inside an audiometric booth.
Our fully qualified Noise Officers are registered with the WA government, and are highly skilled in conducting onsite booth assessments for legislative purposes. And we efficiently manage the application process, with same-day completion of paperwork and submission to WorkCover WA for approval.
Australia-wide services
Via our network of skilled noise assessors, we conduct noise level assessments on audiometric booths all over Australia to the rigorous specifications of Australian Standard 1269.4.
The Standard describes specific equipment and procedures for conducting booth assessments. We’ve found, however, that not all assessors meet these requirements. While many can measure high noise areas (such as factories or mine sites), few know how to correctly conduct a booth assessment. And, critically, even fewer have sound levels meters with the low “instrument noise floor” necessary for undertaking tests in quiet spaces such as a booth.
The noise assessors in our national network are all skilled in conducting Standards-compliant booth assessments and use sound level meters that allow accurate assessment down to low levels.
Please contact Glenn Johnson, Principal Audiologist, to discuss your company’s requirements for audiometric booth assessments.
